Charles Putnam's middle initial is "M" not "W". His grave marker at Lakeview Cemetery reads "M", ancestry.com's listing matches date, location, and spouse for Charles M Putnam, and interment.net lists "M". http://interment.net/data/us/mi/barry/lakeview/lakeview.htm

The info at http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/hso/hsmatchname.asp?hsn=putnam+library&hss=0 is, I believe, inaccurate.

For those researching Putnam this discrepancy could be confusing.
